Pursuant to this important goal, we have established an active program to enhance our ability to find and match exceptional people from all minority groups with exceptional employers who are actively committed to diversity in all aspects of their businesses.
To fulfill our mission of helping employers build a more diverse candidate pool, find and retain top talent and support diversity and multiculturalism throughout the workplace, we have developed a highly proactive candidate sourcing program augmented by a wide variety of highly focused strategies and tools.
In addition, many of our projects are geared toward creating diversification in both business and public sectors. A good example is our recently completed study for the National Academy of Sciences Transportation Research Board. The Practical Guide for Recruiting Minority Chief Executive Officers (CEO) at Public Transportation Agencies worked to “provide Transit properties with a foundation for successfully identifying, recruiting, selecting and retaining minority CEOs who meet their leadership criteria. This will be accomplished by developing a recruitment guide and a process (supported by a business case and tools) that supports implementation of talent management (the process of aligning human capital decision making with business strategies and objectives), and retention strategies for minority CEOs within the Public Transportation sector. The guide will also document best practices of organizations that face similar recruitment challenges and describe how these organizations develop, implement and measure the acquisition of talent.”
